We are just off the M4 Motorway Junction 34 right next to the small village of Miskin. It is possible to get to the site via Miskin village but it is easier to follow the new route.

Take the road to Pendoylan and the Bosch Factory off the M4 at Junction 34. If coming from Cardiff on the motorway that's a turn left! If you are coming from the Valleys or Cardiff on the A4119 go up to the motorway roundabout and find this road. Now follow various signs in a general rightish direction and go back under the motorway. The new campsite and car park is just after the motorway underpass on your right. Study the maps and the picture and it will all make sense. The post code is CF72 8JT, for you Sat-nav people, but let it take you through Miskin Village if you are towing. I also suggest you pull in safely on the left just before the site and have a little walk up to the gate.

The campsite it just through the gate at the top of the slope.The Mill is just down the hill to the left. The trees on the left are Miskin Mill Woods, how close do you want to be??

Please note the car park at the mill is reserved for disabled and a limited number of important vehicles also we need to keep it clear for emergencies.

Of course you are still welcome to camp on the Scout Village campsite, which is perfect but for a couple of points. Because of the low lying land and proximity to the river the Managment of the Mill do not allow vehicles onto the site at any time. We can let you park to unload but then you need to move your vehicle to the campsite car park as above. Also the Mill site is only available from Friday morning until mid-morning on Monday. We have to be gone, cleaned up, dusted and polished by midday Monday. You will be able to stay on the caravan site until Tuesday, so you can still enjoy the days events.

Please don't park in the road anywhere near the Mill. It is very dangerous, worries the residents and can involve the police - which in turn upsets me!! If it wasn't for the cars on the roads most local people wouldn't even know we were there!!

If you are coming by public transport there is a direct connection to Pontyclun Railway Station from Cardiff Central every hour. a short bus ride or 30 min walk will get you to Miskin.There is also a regular bus service from Cardiff and Bridgend. Times and services of trains and buses may well be much restricted over Easter so do check beforehand.
