Miskin at Easter 2007

Cancelled But this was the plan!!

Thanks for your continued interest, I thought it would be nice to see what we had arranged for 2007 if only to show a few new faces who have had the Miskin stamp of approval!

Click on the main links at the top and side to navigate around . And as is usual practice anything underlined should link to a useful page.

Like the rest of the UK new laws are coming in to force controlling smoking in public places. For some reason best known to those who help make our life difficult, the law will apply in Wales before England.

Welsh NOSMO Day is 2nd April 2007

So this will mean NO SMOKING anywhere within The Mill buildings

We have been operating a no smoking policy in the bar and lounge for a couple of years, so it is not a major change. I think this is another fact of modern life that we will have to get used to!

Please note that I would be committing an offence by allowing you to smoke, just as much as you will by smoking! Thanks for co-operating with any steward who has to ask you to refrain.

For the official view and all questions answered go to

This year's Guest List

The usual line of great guests is in store this year. Many regulars of course, that is part of what makes Miskin special. A few specially selected new names as well, to introduce an element of wonder.

I think there will be many special moments this year, and I really do feel with the opening of our new bigger caravan site we are heading for a new era. You heard it here first!!

With a few other changes and improvements it does mean a slight increase in the ticket price this year, I’m sure this will not put off too many of our loyal supporters.

And for a first idea of what might happen click here

After missing last year we will definitely be presenting the

Harry Prigg Absent Friends Award

I usually try a keep a few pictures back for the new site and one entire batch never got to see the light of day.. You've heard about it - you may have seen it - you may have been in it. There's a real threat that it might happen again this year...yes it's

The Miskin Mummers.

Now a few words for thought....

Some of you may have noticed a few moments of tension last year. These were smoothed by the usual few quiet words and a bit of patience. But they gave me cause to ponder since, so bear with me while I try to put my thoughts into words.

Miskin is special, it has grown into a very different and well loved start to many peoples festival year. No one has paid a kings ransom to be here, many work very hard to make the weekend a success, but we all come here as friends. We often refer to each other as one big family.
Now every family is made up of different people, some more able than others and some with hidden depths that only we can appreciate; some indeed need help and understanding along the way. As members of the extended family of Miskin, I hope we can offer that support and understanding and not be too quick to judge. Try and look inside for that hidden depth, be it musical talent or just sheer humanity. No-one comes to Miskin by accident and there has never been a single person I have not been proud to welcome.
I love you all,

Andy
